Advanced Datum Reference Frames
This unit 9 expands on datum reference frame construction using complex feature relationships. Topics include common datum features (A-B), coaxial holes, hole patterns, hole-and-slot combinations, and the use of multiple datum reference frames in a single design. By the end of the unit, students will be able to properly structure complex datum systems that reflect functional assembly requirements and ensure design intent is maintained.
